Steve Rhodes reports Oscar nominations

By Steve Rhodes

Here are the list of the Academy Award nominations for this year. I was quite pleased with the choices. The only ones not here that I would have wanted included are Leonard DiCaprio for best actor for Titanic, Ian Holm for best actor for The Sweet Hereafter, Fast, Cheap and Out-of-Control for best documentary, Riding the Rails for best documentary, and the script for Chasing Amy. Set your clocks for 6 p.m. on Monday, March 23, to find out who will win. ______________________________________________________________________

P.S. My week and a half flu is gone, and I'm back going to the movies again so expect more reviews of new movies from me. Still it's good I keep a backlog of video reviews for the times I am sick. I want my readers to get their reviews every weekday -- it's a tradition and a commitment.
