4 The convict is chained to his jailer and they must make their way through swamps and deserts, mountain snows, and parched valleys to the courthouse/prison/place of exile. On the way they encounter enemies who turn out to be common to both of them and realize that they may have more in common with each other than with those they've considered their respective cohorts.
It's an old story often told by Hollywood, and this
latest vehicle for the comedic talents of Adam Sandler and Damon
Wayans adds hardly any new twists, apart from those intended to
add comedy to an often-dramatic situation. There are some laughs,
but they're generally at the expense of decency and propriety.
In short, this is a sophomoric exercise in obscenity. If that's the way you like your comedy, it should be to your liking. Though there's some redemptive value in the friendship between the two main characters, that's like saying even Hitler loved his dog/cat/mistress. If you like wholesome values especially when you're being asked to laugh, better steer clear.
