For seven years, Jon Kennedy's column "Theophilus & Friends," was the main religion feature of the Times Newspaper Group. The former San Jose minister and journalist used the pen name Theophilus, taken from the Gospel of St. Luke and the book of Acts, to discuss current issues in religion and ethics.
